Expensive canvas: There is nothing so discouraging as painting your best work
on something that won't even last until its framed.

Lots of different kinds, sizes and styles of brushes. You'll have to try a few brands until you
find the one that fits your style and methods.

Latex gloves: Cadmium paint is toxic and makes your fingernails break and get sore.

I wear surgical gowns to paint in. For some reason paint thinks I am the canvas.

Cheap paint is good if you don't mix and try to make it anything it's not already. Otherwise,
use expensive paint. It's still cheaper than a boat or a golf round.
